Where to Stay Around Gulfside Cottages

​Gulfside Cottages is like a trip back in time to the simple golden Americana lifestyle of the late 1800s, but this residential enclave has an excellent location right in the heart of the 21st Century Miramar Beach! This exclusive gated community is indeed “gulf side” near the sugary shore in an enchanting world of its own with a charming architectural ambiance. Houses have white picket fences, columned front porches, tin roofs, and a newly constructed version of an old Florida style look. It resembles the type of place where friends once gathered on a porch to sip lemonade while waiting for the brownies to bake. Nowadays, folks on the front porch are more likely sipping frozen Margaritas and waiting for the nachos to be ready! Gulfside Cottages has a lovely community swimming pool with a unique double squared shape surrounded by a sunny patio accented with decorative arbors and tropical palms. This great location allows guests to go from enjoying a freshwater pool dip to taking a salty plunge into the gulf within minutes.

​Gulfside Cottages is also close to popular beachfront restaurants, grocery stores, wine establishments, and bargain shopping at the Silver Sands Premium Outlets. It’s also close to amusements, restaurants, bars, and fun seasonal festivals nearby at Sandestin’s charming Village of Baytowne Wharf as well as Grand Boulevard.  It’s no wonder why this is such a popular vacation destination, and we provide some wonderful rentals here.

​However, sometimes everything here may be booked just when you are planning a big beach reunion with family and friends - so what do you do?  You’ll be happy to know that we have some other great vacation rentals very close by so you can still have a shared beach reunion with separate accommodations. They include Mainsail and Windancer.

Mainsail is an exclusively gated resort that spans across 15 acres of tropical grounds and includes two luxurious gulf front towers. The South Pool Pavilion is centered between the two towers with a palm-lined sun deck, a large pool, a big bubbling Hot Tub, a kid’s wading pool, and a play area with a mini waterfall. Another pool is located on the north side of the resort. There are two cook out stations for “chilling while grilling.” Mainsail also has a poolside fitness center, four tennis courts, a basketball court, and shuffleboard. We have two and three-bedroom vacation rentals available at Mainsail.

​Windancer provides guests with an exclusive sense of low-density private privilege on the bright white beach compared to high rise towers nearby. Every rental provides panoramic balcony views of the gorgeous gulf.  Our one-bedroom, one and one half bath properties sleep up to six people since in addition to the bedroom, the hallway includes a bunk bed, and queen-sized sleeper sofas are in the living areas. Two-bedroom rentals with two baths sleep between eight and ten happy beachgoers. A large kidney-shaped pool has a nice patio for sunning while viewing the gulf before taking a refreshing dip or heading down to the private beach, which is steps away. A small stone patio nearby has a convenient place for grilling, so you may be inspired to create your own “Surf n Turf” feast.
